Yes. Each one is a physical graded card (PSA, CGC or BGS) stored in Collector Crypt's insured vault and represented by a token on Solana. The token is what you win. The holder of the token can sell it on the open market or have the physical card shipped to them.
Beat a Keeper's guardian in their Trial. From level 5, every win rolls for a slab from that Trial's pool: the Watchfort pays Common or Rare, Rootdeep Rare or Epic, the Caldera Epic or Legendary. One roll per Trial per day and two a day in all; clears past that still pay XP. Wild creatures carry no card: binding them pays XP, materials and Bestiary pages.
A real-time boss fight, just you and the guardian. Swing with G or a click (a three-hit combo), roll with Shift, cleave with Z, blink with X. Every attack is telegraphed by a red shape on the ground that fills before the blow lands: be out of it, or roll through it, when it fills. Fall and you try again after a short wait. The server decides every hit.
Chests lie hidden across the islands: on cliff ledges you reach by a stair, under the wreck, between the roots of the giant trees, at the bog pools. A few are out on each island at a time; one left alone crumbles after a while and another turns up somewhere else. They only glow when you are close, so you find them by exploring (from level 10, Riftsense points at the nearest one). Walk up, press E and hold still while the lock gives: moving breaks it. Opening is free. One seeker works a lock at a time, and each chest opens once. Higher islands hold rarer chests: Weathered, Iron-bound, Ember, then Rift.
One provably-fair roll, shown with the reward, decides it. Most chests pay XP, materials or sigils. The rare band pays a tokenized stock: a real token that tracks a share (for example an xStock), held for you in game and shown in your Bag. The chance and the size grow with the tier, from about 1% for $1 in a Weathered chest to 12% for $12 in a Rift chest. Stocks start at level 5, there is a daily limit on how much stock value one seeker can find, and stocks only ever come out of the pool the team has funded; when the pool is dry or you are past the limit, the chest pays sigils instead and says why.
Hold it as long as you like, or open your Bag, find it under Stocks and press Withdraw. The tokens go from the game's vault to the Solana wallet on your account, like a card withdrawal, and the game shows you the transaction.
Nothing. You start with binding sigils, the Bank gives you more every day, and levels and quests pay more. The in-game SOL balance is play credit this season; nobody is asked to deposit anything.
Open your Bag, select the slab, press Withdraw. The token moves from our vault to the Solana wallet attached to your account, usually within a minute, and the game shows you the transaction. From there you can list it on Collector Crypt's marketplace, hold it, or redeem the physical card.
Yes, with a free Solana wallet. Install Phantom, Solflare or Backpack (a browser extension or a phone app, about a minute to set up), then press Play and connect it. Signing in only proves the wallet is yours: it costs nothing and sends no transaction. Your cards and stocks are withdrawn to that same wallet. On a phone, open Vailen inside your wallet app's browser.
A Trial's slab roll has fixed odds per Trial, printed in the Trial panel and on the victory screen with the roll itself (for example, Rare on a roll under 0.25 at the Watchfort). Bind odds depend on the creature's tier and your sigil, scaled by how good your cast was and capped at 90%; they are printed on every sigil before you cast.
Before any roll happens each day, the server publishes a cryptographic commitment to a secret seed. Your rolls are derived from that seed and your own seed. The next day the secret is revealed, and the P key in the game lets you recompute every roll you made and confirm nothing was changed.
A failed bind can make a creature flee; the rarer the tier, the likelier. Slow creatures always vanish after one miss. Better casts miss less.
It is practice, on purpose: the bind always holds and it teaches the cast. The first Trial, and the first slab roll, waits on Cinderhold, one portal away.
The team put up the money for the first slabs, bought on Collector Crypt's marketplace and deposited into the game's vault. After that the vault feeds itself: every Trading Post sale carries a 3% fee, and 80% of those fees are committed to buying more slabs. The vault holds a slab of each tier in a Trial's pool for you while you fight, and puts them back if you lose.
Not this season. There is nothing to deposit. The Trials are free, binding sigils are earned in the game, and a failed bind costs a sigil, not money.
A rare variant of any creature, marked by the rift: a deep violet body lit from within, with teal cracks. About one in twenty-five. Everyone on that island is told when one appears. Binding it earns bonus XP and a mark in your Bestiary.
Your seeker, levels, seals and Bestiary carry forward. Slabs are real tokens, so anything you have withdrawn is already yours regardless of what happens in the game.
No. Vailen is an independent game. Card names and images belong to their respective owners; we hold and transfer graded cards exactly as any collector or marketplace does.
Message @PlayVailen on X. Include your seeker name and, for a withdrawal issue, the card's name.
